We LOVE seeing our clients succeed, and we love when we can help springboard them into this success. From PR to social media to gently nudging them outside of their comfort zones, we’ve done the legwork to figure out what works, and now you get to learn from our experience too!
2022 Year in Review
As you gear up for 2023, learn from NEAT’s most popular and profitable tips and tricks from the past year:
- Keep it neat—especially when it comes to PR. We firmly believe that our commitment to keeping correspondence with journalists and media “neat” goes a long way. What does it mean to keep correspondence neat? We’re kind, we’re responsive, we’re helpful. We go out of our way to make journalists and members of the media feel like they’re a part of our team. Don’t expect journalists to bend over backwards to help you; rather, you need to find ways to help THEM.
- Leverage social media as an outreach tool. We know those algorithms on the ‘gram can be tough. But once you figure it out, Instagram and other social media tools can be so incredibly helpful for amplifying your reach. We used social to launch our clients’ personal brands and achieve their reach goals in 2022, and we’ll continue to do so in 2023. (So should you!)
- Always being up for change. If something isn’t gaining traction, we have internal mechanisms in place to recognize this. That way, we can quickly address and modify our approach. We’re not married to any idea, but we ARE committed to reaching clients’ goals, and that makes it easier to let go of something that’s not working and pivot.
- Create outreach pieces that educate and facilitate a dialog with the media. We love setting our clients up as thought leaders in their space. From helping them land their first media feature to guiding them through social strategies designed to promote thought leadership, this has been a huge part of our strategy in 2022. For example, we recently had a client featured in the Irish Sun! Win!
- Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. When it comes to self-promotion, PR, and marketing, everyone has their own comfort zone. We’ve found that sometimes, with a little nudge from us, clients can achieve great things when they step outside their comfort zones. So maybe you’re not a great writer, don’t let that stop you from trying to get your content featured in media outlets. In 2022, we helped several clients land media features and launch podcasts. One client (who wasn’t too keen on the podcast idea at first), even ranked 20th on the charts in the first 24 hours of her podcast launch!
